It's Only Wednesday!

Yesterday we learned that Senator Diane Feinstein had had enough of the GOP's games with regard to the investigation of Russia interfering with our election.
The transcript of Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn R. Simpson’s interview with the Senate Judiciary Committee was released by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (Calif.), the panel’s senior Democrat, over the objections of Chairman Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa).

Feinstein’s action comes alongside an effort by Republicans to discredit the dossier as a politically motivated document that the FBI has relied too heavily upon in its investigation. Feinstein sought to push back against that perception and to bolster the FBI’s credibility.

“The innuendo and misinformation circulating about the transcript are part of a deeply troubling effort to undermine the investigation,” she said.
It was bold, it was needed and it was truly patriotic.

This morning we have some more breaking news from the Senate Dems. This just dropped, from the AP: Dem senator’s report warns of Russian meddling across Europe
“Never before has a U.S. president so clearly ignored such a grave and growing threat to U.S. national security,” the report warns.

No Republicans on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee signed on to the 200-plus page report released by Sen. Ben Cardin of Maryland, the committee’s top Democrat. But even without GOP backing, the report’s recounting of Russian operations in 19 European nations foreshadows the still-unpublished Senate Intelligence Committee’s bipartisan inquiry into Russia’s role during the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

Cardin said in a statement that he commissioned the report so Americans can see the “true scope and scale” of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s efforts to undermine democracy. (snip)

Cardin’s report urges Trump to set up an interagency “fusion cell” on Russian interference modeled on the National Counterterrorism Center that was created after the 9/11 attacks. The report recommends that the president convene an annual global summit modeled after similar forums on combating the Islamic State group or homegrown extremists. Rapid response teams should be formed to defend ally countries after cyberattacks, with an international treaty governing the use of cyber tools in peace time.
Senate Dems are calling Putin and tRump out for absolutely everything,

EVERYTHING.

Following attacks like Pearl Harbor and 9/11, U.S. presidents
have rallied the country and the world to address the challenges
facing the nation. Yet the current President of the United States
has barely acknowledged the threat posed by Mr. Putin’s repeated
attacks on democratic governments and institutions, let alone exercised
the kind of leadership history has shown is necessary to effectively
counter this kind of aggression. Never before in American
history has so clear a threat to national security been so clearly ignored
by a U.S. president.

The resisitance is indeed working.

...and it's only Wednesday!
